Reflecting on Flint PCS

Tom Hoczyk

PCS Past President
I'm finally getting around to writing and expressing my appreciation to everyone in the Michigan Chapter who hosted a wonderfully enjoyable International PCS Meet last August. The most common comment I heard over and over was how this meet had the spirit and flavor of PCS Meets of a decade or more ago. Those being, an overwhelming sense of friendship, sharing, and returning to the basics of what formed the PCS 30 years ago. If our experience in Flint is any indicator, then the future of the PCS is indeed bright.

For Marlene and me, it was especially wonderful seeing innumerable friends who we haven't seen for years, whose age and health may have even prevented them from attending. It was like old home week, and it was spectacular! There's nothing nicer than seeing a friendly face that you haven't seen for several years, dining together, and catching up on news. Needless to say, we made many new friends in Flint, making the meet even more wonderful.

Once again, thanks to everyone who had a hand in planning and executing this incredible Meet. We'll see what the future holds in terms of attending in Albany. Tom Hoczyk

Tom, I wish we could have been there in Flint with everyone. And, I know what you mean about old friends, that is the way I have always felt about most of the PCS members I've met, they are all old friends!
