rear bumpers

been a lot of discussion on the rear bumpers. mostly from Richard begging some one to give him there's, but discussion is is discussion. since I have the one off the 73 and the the 66 I thought I should compare them both side by side to see what is different. I discovered that they are the same blank. the 73 has a bracket added to it for installing on the different chassis. the 66 uses brackets attached to the extensions for the same purpose. the 73 has the back up light punched out in it. the 66 has the back up in the tail lights.
the center section with the licence plate mount and the license plate lights are the same. the center section mount on the chassis the same using the same brackets. as did the 75 MM. so it is safe to say all the caddy CC used the same center section with the addition of holes for lights and brackets added for mounting. the ends were off the car of that year. as long as on had the mounting bracket to weld in place you could use the 66 wings on the 73. the center would be a direct swap

here are the pictures

Anyone else have diamond plate on their rear bumpers? In talking with Leo about the Criterion, he says this was done quite awhile ago. May have to have this done to the Lifeliner.

that would be easy to do on a ambulance. that is if you could weld Stainless steel. but if you could why not make it smooth then get it chromed
