promise made

What an awesome job you did Ed. :thumb: I cannot wait to see it in person.

the pictures of in resting in the car in the yard are in a caddy. I do know it was bolted in that car. that being said who knows how it got in that car. none of the options book I have here for 63 superior show a cabinet like this . but there were 4 holes in the original bulk head that this cabinet covers. they were drilled threw braces in the wall. it maybe the bottom line med cabinet that superior used as standard in the Pontiac's. I don't show a pictures of one like this in one of those cars either. the trap door just in front of it is fully functional with it in place. so either the correct type cabinet was found or we fell into a good string of dumb luck. I do have two pictures of it one labeled 62 one 63

Ed, that cabinet looks even better than I hoped it would. Thank You for doing it. I had a feeling my car had some sort of a medical cabinet years ago, and had been removed at some point during it's life. I could have left it as it was, but I felt it just wasn't complete without it. Attila found the cabinet for me, I believe it came from a 62 or 63 Superior Cadillac. The cabinet fits as though it was made to be there. Also of note, there was an outline on the floor of a cabinet that size, indicating that some sort of cabinet was there. Thanks again Ed, for EVERYTHING.

That ambulance is really coming along! It looks fabulous and I can't wait to see it done! I think Ed is doing a fabulous job! Brendan, I bet you are excited and you must be bursting with pride every time you see a new picture.

I was looking over that parts book and the cabinet they have built in has the same top rail. so I'm fairly certain it's a superior built cabinet. it covers the original holes in the car and fits the floor pattern between the trap and the bulkhead. so like I said if it's not what was in there we have a lot of luck. I have it stuff fill of parts all ready. should have put it in sooner. I'm as anguish as anyone to get done with this project but like I told Brendon the other day this is the only long term project that I have walked in the shop and not felt doom and gloom. the car is fun to work on and fund to bring back together. fun to drive to but I really want to get the seat back in perched on a stool holding on for dear life is really not relaxing

Every night I check Ed's dropshots to see the progress on my car. Ed has done an amazing job for me on this car. I love sitting down at night either at home or the firehouse and looking at the pictures. There are some great photos on the dropshots website, and it is a true testament to Ed's TALENT, PATIENCE, HARD WORK, and DEDICATION to his friends and this hobby in general. My 63 is really looking great now, and I can't wait to enjoy it. Here is a recent photo Ed posted that I thought was really sharp.
