I'm nursing quite a sunburn and my ears are still ringing from the sound and light show that was two days ago. This must mean that Procar Heaven in 2011 is officially over.
In the end, we ended up with 117 professional cars, 3 lead cars and a fire truck with a casket table that's used in firefighter funerals - for a total of 121 professional cars and funeral related vehicles.
When the meet committee and I began to plan for the event over two years ago, we knew that we wanted to produce an event that was unique and procar themed, yet still having something for everyone. I think that we did just that.
Whether it was a golf cart circling the parking lot all week distributing water, pop, snacks and even pizza on a few nights, trips to the drive-in movies, unofficial visits to everything from historic cemeteries, Melt Bar and Grilled, the May 4 memorial at Kent State University, multiple burger runs to Swenson's in one day for some people, hotel windows for Jeremy to smash, a perfect and intimate PCS wedding and reception that was planned with only 14 hours notice, and dunk tanks and go carts for the kids and the kids at heart - we really had a variety of events. I hope that everyone had a fun time and got to see a bit of why the Ohio Chapter is known as "the party chapter".
Because I was busy entertaining all of you, I didn't get much of a chance to actually take pictures. The pictures that I did take, may interest you though because it's more of the behind the scenes stuff. I'll put a few select ones below and the rest can be seen on Flickr. So until next time, grab your new official PCS cooler, pour a cool beverage into your new PCS pint glass and enjoy the rest of the summer. See you all next year in Daytona!
