Procar Heaven in 2011 - it's over!

I'm nursing quite a sunburn and my ears are still ringing from the sound and light show that was two days ago. This must mean that Procar Heaven in 2011 is officially over.

In the end, we ended up with 117 professional cars, 3 lead cars and a fire truck with a casket table that's used in firefighter funerals - for a total of 121 professional cars and funeral related vehicles.

When the meet committee and I began to plan for the event over two years ago, we knew that we wanted to produce an event that was unique and procar themed, yet still having something for everyone. I think that we did just that.

Whether it was a golf cart circling the parking lot all week distributing water, pop, snacks and even pizza on a few nights, trips to the drive-in movies, unofficial visits to everything from historic cemeteries, Melt Bar and Grilled, the May 4 memorial at Kent State University, multiple burger runs to Swenson's in one day for some people, hotel windows for Jeremy to smash, a perfect and intimate PCS wedding and reception that was planned with only 14 hours notice, and dunk tanks and go carts for the kids and the kids at heart - we really had a variety of events. I hope that everyone had a fun time and got to see a bit of why the Ohio Chapter is known as "the party chapter".

Because I was busy entertaining all of you, I didn't get much of a chance to actually take pictures. The pictures that I did take, may interest you though because it's more of the behind the scenes stuff. I'll put a few select ones below and the rest can be seen on Flickr. So until next time, grab your new official PCS cooler, pour a cool beverage into your new PCS pint glass and enjoy the rest of the summer. See you all next year in Daytona!

Sarah, Ron, Jerry, and everbody else who made this years PCS International Meet a SUCCESS, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH! The Martin Family had a blast in Ohio, and it would not have been possible without your dedication. Once again a very heartfelt thanks from the Ocean State!:applause:

On to Daytona!

We weren't too sure about Daytona Beach next year, considering the distance and all, but AFTER LAST WEEK, and the "preview" of the Daytona meet, we are kinda changing our minds! Dan & Nedra Brintlinger:smiley_w_ballbat:

Thanks to all who have both posted their compliments or have given them in person. We do appreciate your thoughts. However the committee alone could have made this week what it was. If you came, brought a coach (or more), brought something someone needed, helped out, or just allowed yourself to enjoy what we had to offer, then you are responsible for the success of the P.C.S. 2011 International Meet.

I'm sure I speak for your hosts when I say a really big Thank You!

Late correction: That should have read "The committee alone could not have made this week what it was.":poster_oops::eek:

we knew what you meant it is the people that make it work. it's about the cars but the people is what makes it. congrats to the PCS for pulling off one nice event and congrats to the Ohio for hosting it in style. it was a nice event will enjoyed but all including the hotel staff. now that says something

I won't be trailering five cars there, but I do hope to make the meet. What a great time in Hudson...the entire crew working with Sarah, Ron, Dan et al deserve al the credit! Thanks for keeping this society alive.

Thanks to you, Bill for all of your help. Your enthusiasm for the meet and the hobby really shows. Have you been showing off your new award now that you're partially back in Marietta?
