Pics of my 63 and Antique Fire Trucks

Hello, I am finally able to post some photos of my 1963 Cadillac Superior Hightop Rescuer and some of the Antique Fire Apparatus it shares a garage with. I am not a professional photographer by any means but I am working on taking more photos and putting them into the computer. Also the car has an oil leak which is coming from the washer around the drain plug. Its the only oil leak so I figure that's not bad, and easily fixed next oil change.

What do you have for fire apparatus?

Jean-Marc, the fire apparatus belongs to my retired fire chief and his friend who owns an electrical and fire alarm company. They are called Fires and Wires, this is their garage. They own a 49 Seagrave Pumper, 39 Seagrave Ladder, 49, Seagrave Ladder, 34 GMC Huckster which is set up as a Fire Alarm truck, and a 1973 Maxim 100' Ladder, which ironically was the first Ladder I was assigned to when I was first hired 14 years ago. They also have a 1954 Mack Pumper from the City of Worcester Massachusetts. I will gladly send more photos to anyone who is interested.

Pretty car, Brendan. Is that a lighted doubletone siren? Hard to tell by the picture. I had one of those many years ago on my first ambulance, a '63 Pontiac Consort. The siren was fender-mounted, and was stolen the day after the ambulance became mine!

scared the s##t out of me. I though I did better on that hood.

but of interest is, old equipment fully capable of doing the jog it was built for. all that is lacking is people willing to use it.

Here it is now. It resides in my garage at home.

Doing what it was built for reminds me of what happened at the big meet in Lancaster, PA in 1999. The guest hotel was right on Rt. 30, and one evening there was a bad wreck just south of the hotel on 30. A number of PCS members responded to the scene in their fully-equipped vintage ambulances and helped take care of patients and the scene until the EMS units from Manheim TWP arrived. Johnny and Roy would've been sooooo proud!
