Photo surfers alert! Mercury, Air Force ambo, 50s Cadillac

Recent web surfing turns up these pro car photos.

1. From peopleofwalmart.com: this 80's Mercury with a few add-ons to the back door. (Scroll down the page to the fourth and last image. Warning: Some of you may not enjoy the other, non-pro car photos and comments on this site. Others will roll on the floor laughing.)

2. From the Supercar Registry collection of vintage street scenes: first, a middle 50s Cadillac hearse leading a funeral procession here. (Scroll down through images.)

And next, what appears to be an early 60s, bare-bones U.S. Air Force ambulance. Pontiac, Oldsmobile perhaps? (Again, scroll down the page to the black-and-white image. It's about the 22nd image down.)

Eye candy alert! This site has been mentioned on the boards before. There are a few pro cars scattered about the 100+ pages of images. Lots of color images include late model cars, beauties, scenery, downtown scenes, parades, vacation photos, airports, aircraft, Vegas, San Francisco and more than few old gasoline stations.

You will spend hours browsing (and right-clicking) all those photos! I find it a once-a-month stop to see what's new.

Enjoy... and happy weekend from Hoosierland.

the bare bones ambulance

The ambulance looks to have 60 Ponticac tail lights.
Thanks for sharing these. Now I have to go find one of those huge bug guards like on the 57 Chevy. Hershey here I come.

A few pages further along on the same site - does the orange and black hauler in the background look like a mid-30's Superior to you?

I thought you guys may want to see this and/or add it to your collections. I'm relatively sure that this one has not been circulated yet, but I could be wrong. This photo, from what I have gathered, was taken in Craighead County, Arkansas around at least 1957 by the 57 Sedan DeVille or 62 series sedan pictured. Several nice, and by today's standards, extremely rare coaches pictured while they were still in service. I was told that all these coaches were used in a mass funeral for a family of seven that all lost their lives tragically.
