A tip of hat to Steve Lichtman for sending me this photo of my Criterion when it was in service with its first owner. I have the original delivery paperwork showing it was sold new to the Denton Volunteer Fire Company in MD. I've surmised it was a dealer demonstrator, as it had few thousand miles on the odometer, but sold as a new car.

Upon purchasing the Criterion, I decided to have it "Californiaized", as the warning equipment did not reflect any of the Criterions i ever worked in, as the corner lights and 888 light were not legal in CA. I am pleased with the results brought about by our friend Ed, as well as Antique Auto Restoration in Monterey, CA, and Maximum Torque Specialties of Apple Valley, CA.

The warning equipment conversion from as delivered to CA spec included the following: Unity M1000 spotlights replaced with Unity S-6 models. Miller-Meteor side warning lights added between existing ditch lights. Mars 888 replaced with a B&M Super Chief. Siren was mounted using a Federal pedestal mated with a B&M mount! and located closer to the top of the windshield, as to not block the illuminated roof sign. The 4 roof mounted Ful-Vu / Gimes lights were replaced with Federal 184-H beacons with their skirts trimmed to the conture of the roof. The existing 184-H was eliminated.
