Just wondering what "PETTY" means... found on every parts of a 1959 Superior ambulance.. Name of the car? Color?

Name of the company that took the original delivery of the vehicle from Superior. Usually, the name has worn off. If you assume that the car was originally owned by a funeral home, and that home was in the US, and still in business, then you have 3 options.. Kentucky, South Carolina, and Alabama. Good luck with your quest to find the original owner. Look for other hints under the seats, etc..

Name Plate

Our '67 Superior Crown limousine combination still has the nameplate affixed to the instrument panel, legible as the day it was new. This car was built for the Jacobs Funeral Home of St. Charles, Minnesota (now Hoff Funeral Home.)

My 69 superior has the exact same thing on the dash !!!!
