PCS in the news-Thanks Gregg

This was reported in a previous post but here are the articles. I picked up the Nomis Publication and The Southern Funeral Director while taking care of a case last night at a local funeral home.

Once again Gregg, OUTSTANDING pubicity, thanks!

Gregg

Way to go once again for your incredible efforts to promote a fine car club known as the Professional Car Society.

You are a club asset Gregg.

Thanks from your friend here in Toronto Canada,
Darren

Though it won't stop me fretting about the Daytona meet stories I DIDN'T have time to get together this summer and autumn due to my committments to TPC's 2012 International Meet Issue, it means a lot to find you all delighted with what got into print. Whenever I have a clip like the one from FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY NEWS where the text spills across several pages, I make a point to gather it up and re-arrange it for permanent lamination in the Publicity Dept. portfolio, accompanied by the magazine's logo and editorial masthead so it will make an even-better impression at our board and members' meetings. One goal I have in doing this is the hope that some of busier chapters will get into the groove of sending out their own stories on regional activities - with enough practice, and a really keen eye with the camera, I'm convinced lots of other folks in PCS can get their dispatches published. I'm naturally happy to tutor people on the smaller details if they want to give it a shot.

BEFORE I FORGET ... I'm compelled to point out the FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY NEWS story erroneously credits me as the shooter of Phil Rishel's 1996 S&S Fleetwood 6-door with the words PROFESSIONAL CAR SOCIETY carved into the Daytona Beach sand. As noted when this wonderful image also ran on the back cover of TPC's special 2012 meet issue, it should actually be credited to Phil Rishel, unless Darren Bedford posts he was the person who took it.

The photo was taken by Jeremy Moberg.

One of those advertizing sign trucks was driving by and I stopped him to ask if we could stand on this truck to get the photo.

He let us get up on top of the signs to take the photos. Jeremy was the one who climbed up about 12 feet on top of the signs and took photos with many peoples cameras.

That could have been from any ones camera, but Jeremy took them from that height and angle.

The sign truck guy was really into the sand carving and I gave him some money for letting us use the truck.

It was a fun time and a few hours later the tide washed it all away.
Really cool we have photos.

Great job on the promo Gregg !

Darren
