PCS Blast from the Past

Tom Hoczyk

PCS Past President
I was going through some very old prints of past PCS get-togethers, dated February 1992. I thought I'd post photos of some of my friends, all but one is passed away. Touring the CW Coach inventory the only way possible (by climbing ON the cars!) is my dear friend Joe Ross who died of cancer several years ago. He had a spectacularly restored '61 M&M Landau Traditional that I believe is now in Tennessee.

In the next photo, L-R: Al Vondriska (a surprise visitor at Hudson PCS), next to him is Cameron Maine (Mike Stevens' father-in-law, from whom Mike got his '61 M&M combination), and again, Joe Ross.

Although I did not know any of them well, it is great to see old pictures. It looks like all were enjoying themselves.

Steve, I might be wrong about this, but I think Joe's '64 M&M Combination is now owned by Jeff Glancy (Glancy FH), Montpelier IN. It was a beautiful steel blue, much like the original color on my '63 Eureka combination that Joe McDonald now owns.

Remember

Remember how we used to gather in someone's room and look at endless pictures!!! Valerie never old understand that!!! Lol!

Right you are, Ken. People would gather in the "hostility suite" (a Bernie DeWinter term) all hours of the night, looking at pictures, talking details that outsiders would have no clue about. I quit bringing my photo albums when a couple prints came up missing, though. I never thought it would happen in our group, but it did.

Here's a shot I took of it at the 1989 PCS meet in Gaithersburg, MD:
