Paul Harvey's mid 90s Cadillac

I imagine most of you are familiar with Paul Harvey, the radio announcer who had the "rest of the story" show on syndicated radio. He had a "distinctive" voice and always ended his broadcast with "Good Day". He died several years ago, but lived in Jefferson County MO, south of St Louis.

The guy we rent limousines from used to drive for Mr Harvey and his wife, and bought their limousine from the estate...95? I think RWD Cadillac, black 4 door formal limo with divider and light gray velour interior. I've not seen the car yet, but they are using it as a backup car in their livery service. Supposed to be a clean, low mileage car. I'll grab pics if and when they ever use it on one of our runs.

Dave it's ironic you mentioning him Today...I woke up thinking of him for some reason this morning.

In the FWIW Dept Paul was a frequent visitor here in Phoenix. He had a mansion on the grounds of our Biltmore Hotel and his show was broadcast from his local radio home here.

Another of past life's great who can't be replaced.

Every Saturday and Sunday they re-run his top 40 show on the local radio show I listen too. They play the 70s one day and the 80s the next. They even have the weeks right so you know what happened on this week in that year.

Paul Harvey was one of the great ones! I liked listening to him, he just had a certain wisdom.

others today have the same wisdom just not the same ability to relay it to you. that is what made him great. when he called a man on his follies he could do it in a way that left the man nodding in agreement not walking away mad looking for a lawyer. you might not even agree with what he was saying but you liked to listen to it anyway and you thought about it a little before you said to your self No don't thing so. he could make you stop and think. letting you decide if you agreed or not. truly one of the great ones
