Our Restored 1956 Ford-Crown Open Cab C-800 X-Vernon (CA) Hose Wagon will be transporting the casket of a very popular Retired 26 Year Career USFS Fire Chief (FMO-Fire Management Officer) from Escondido to the LaJolla Indian Reservation tomorrow morning. It's about a 32 Mile Trip and will be escorted on city streets from the Alhiser-Comer Funeral Home by the Escondido Police Dept., then by the San Diego County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol on the County Rural and State Roads to the Reservation. Beside our unit.... there will be over (50) In-Service Fire Engines, Chief's Cars and Agency Pickups that have signed up for the procession so far from multiple state, county, and federal fire agencies serving this Rural Northern San Diego County Area.
