one more flower car

It seems there is a string of flower cars on site for now. We spotted this one in Chicago this past week. It was still in use as it was found parked in front of the House of Branch Funeral Chapel on Roosevelt Dr in Chicago. The next day we saw it at a small repair shop. Later that day we saw it heading back to the funeral home.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Mike

It looks like you would have to be 7 feet tall in order to put any flowers on top of that thing! Wonder why the deck is so tall?

not seven

Shawn,
If you look at the last picture you will see me at the side of this car. If is just under 6 feet tall. You will also see it is not just a flower car but can also be used to carry the coffin inside out of the weather.
Now if I could only find one with my name and price on it. I would not be too picky about what year as I just like flower cars.

I guess I am just used to the older ones that weren't built up so high. Here is a pic of one we used to have--it could carry a casket too, but has a much lower deck height.

didn't know we still used coffins in the U.S., only caskets. Yes there is a difference, caskets have 4 sides, coffins have 6.
Don't take my post the wrong way, most people don't know the difference, and it just bugs me like hearst does to all of us.

That's a Eagle Coupe de Fluer. Paint those rub rails back dark grey and put the pin strips back on it and that would be a sharp car!
