On The Way, Counting Down

Ron Devies

PCS Ohio Chapter President PCS Past Vice President
I got this text this morning as the fatgirl was getting loaded for the trip to her new home. ETA 0800 hours 07/06/2013. Is it too early to go stand at the end of the driveway and wait?

Thank GOD it's on the way. Now maybe you'll get over the '64!!!

BTW, she's back from the first go around at Sammy's, purrs like a kitten. Timing and dwell set, points checked, plugs changed, a can of SeaFoam added to the tank. The rattle was exhaust related, and will be fixed Monday. Man, we love that car!!!!

no not yet.....been too busy with the end of the school year, I'm planning on bringing it outside next week and start to work on it

Now I REALLY have seller's remorse! But hopefully it will only last nine more hours.

I wish that you would decide what its gender is going to be.. A couple of weeks ago, you were calling it Fat Albert.. Now it is a fatgirl... Is this a transgendered vehicle, that you can't decide what it is??? :D Someone else described it as a fat pig, but when I asked is is male or female, they said that its get up and go got up and went. i.e. it has no... Censored!

Ron you own it you can call it anything you want, and of course standing at the end of the laneway is expected, kinda like waiting for 20 minute or free pizza.:D

they say sleep deprived individuals are far more of a hazard to them selves and other then drunks. I hope you have been taking your pills. better living threw chemistry is the only way to go. that staying up all night bidding on e-bay stuff you may or may not use will kill you.

Well It Showed Up On Time

Right at 0800, this is the same time I said to myself. OMG What have I done? The pictures really did it more justice than reality. I have spent the last thirteen hours cleaning the inside JUST THE INSIDE of this beast. That said, I have torn this car apart from stem to stern and here is my conclusion. They haven't invented soap and water in Nebraska yet. The last time the interior of this car was cleaned was when it was leaving Lima, Ohio. The exterior is even worse. But here is what I know. EVERYTHING MISSING IS THERE THAT GOES ON THE CAR. Except the hubcaps, which I will be calling Firefox Monday. Secondly, I almost cried when I found some numbnuts put indoor-outdoor carpeting down on the floor. I could JUST KISS THAT GUY because he only put it down with carpet tape and after I scrubbed it up the floor is very good. The interior is great. It cleaned up like brand new. Only one tear and that is in the back door panel. Tomorrow I will start cleaning the crud off the outside. She runs great you don't even have to pump it to start.

Ron
Your story sound just like mine..........as soon as it was off the ramp truck I had the soap and water ready go .hours later the interior was cleaned and I felt so much better and then when I cleaned the outside ...I was VERY VERY Happy

Pictures ..we need pictures

I did find two things missing that should be there..........the hubcaps and the title. Today I am going to start on the exterior. Will snap some interior shots to show later.

They are holding the title and wheel covers till you make the last payment.... :D

When Size Matters, Superior for 1973

Well got the last of the interior cleaned and stocked. Tomorrow will meet with a seamstress to start re-making the curtains. I washed the outside twice today with Dawn and it still seems dirty. Will attack tomorrow with a clay bar and rubbing compound. Here's a little peek at the progress.
