it took for ever but finally I have my car back. after getting it home I decided that the brake lines had to go. a missed match set of different sizes jumping the rusty original lines was just to much. so I ordered a set from in-line brake. they were 2 weeks behind so 5 weeks late they came in. man that is not a fun job. but we got them back in in place and held on with the factory clips. so now everything is new from the booster to the rear drum. the front ended up at the disk as they were good. put the new springs that have been in the shed for a year on. then gave the car a bath. boy it's nice to have my car back. but if I'm going to start driving it I maybe better take off those 72 IL FH tags I got .

now we take 5 min to put the light back on top and we have a real car again. I discovered the broken front spring just before it went east. so we put a set of caddy ones in te car to hold it up and the standard set of oldsmobile one for te rear. te boys in Ohio did a good job of winding the correct spring for the car. it rides nice and handles well so I'm happy I spent the week getting things back together. now if I can just remember to swap back the tags before I get stoped.
