?? on S&S Production #s

I was surfing the web the other day and came across a dealer website (sorry, can't remember which one) which contained a photo of the S&S Carved panel hearse. The picture got me to thinking - how many have been produced? I know that the first one spent some time at the NFDA convention prior to delivery to a funeral home in Michigan (I think), but was that the only one?

Thanks

This was an S&S carved panel I ptotographed @ Flint last year

While the photos are awesome, I was thinking about the 2009 S&S Carved Panel hearse production numbers. Sometimes my brain doesn't always communicate with my fingers that are typing the questions! :pat:

Sorry Johnathan I thought you may have been under the assumption S&S only built 1 carved-panel hearse ever. I've seen pix of the 2009 you're referring to but am at a loss too of where it's pictured or any info about it or if there were others.

Carved panel hearses are being made again? FWIW, a 1940 S&S carved Cadillac was used in the funeral of Orville Wright, in 1948. Brother Wilbur's 1911 funeral used all horse-drawn vehicles, but both services were conducted by the same firm, Boyer F.H. of Dayton.

There is a 2009 S&S carved panel? The only newer carved side I know of is the 2007 Superior that was actually a Bayliff creation.

I think I seem to recall a 1963 Chrysler Pinner ambulance that was having a waterpump problem?

It was a leaking radiator.. Had it repaired, but the repair didn't hold.. It is out now to repair the repair, hoping that this time it will not leak...

Thanks for the clarification on the model year. I couldn't remember what model year was shown at the NFDA convention and, because it was featured on a dealer website, presumed that it was a 2009 model. Was this a one-off coach or, to my question, were more built? And where was it placed into service?

Thanks

As far as I know it was the only one built.
