OK now i'm really confused

[Denny Shira - Deceased - 1951 - 2020]

Doing a little looking around and tinkering with my 70 superior today.the lens in the other solaray light is plastic,not glass.I previously stated that it was made out of glass.guess i was wrong,or possibly this lens was a replacement for a glass lens.it seems to fit a little loose.can anyone help me with this and verify if the originals were glass or plastic.thanks!!!!!!!!

I have never seen anything but glass lenses. Probably one was broken, and not knowing where to find a replacement, one was cut out of red plastic. If you want a glass one, let me know. Paul
