The Ohio Chapter Meet for May will be in Springfield, Ohio. The date for the meet is May 11, 2013. Springfield is located just north of Interstate 70 exit 54 between Dayton and Columbus in southwestern Ohio. Our base of operations will be the Green House. The Green House is located at 639 East Euclid Ave Springfield, Ohio 45505. This is Shelley's music studio and my auto memorabilia museum. You do not have to be an Ohio Chapter member to attend. We will be taking a narrated tour of the Ferncliff Cemetery and Arboretum. They will provide the open wagon and the narrator. The cemetery tour starts at 10am Saturday morning. They ask that we be on time. We will then go to the Springfield Heritage Museum. This is an indoor walking tour. The Heritage Center does not charge a fee but does ask for a donation. After lunch we will be touring the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Westcott House. Westcott built automobiles in Springfield from the teens to the 1920s. The Westcott tours start on the hour. We will be getting a group rate for this one. Our last tour stop will be Grandpas Garage. Grandpas Garage is the only antique mall I have found that is dedicated to transportation items. Cars,trucks,motorcycles, bikes and more. No charge or fee here unless you buy something. You never know what you will find at Grandpas. Grandpas is looking forward to having the PCS visit with our coaches.

For early arrivals there are many motels listed in the calendar info. All the motels are located near State Route 72 exit 54 off Interstate 70. Motel operators have told me to advise early reservations for this weekend. I would like to have an idea of how many will be attending so I can plan our meal for Saturday evening.

If the good Lord's willing, and the creek don't rise (please make note of our recent weather), Barb and I will be there. I'm just not sure how early we can make it, but the plan is to be there.

The Ohio Chapter May 11, 2013 meet in Springfield, Ohio is only days away. If you are coming in on Friday or staying over to Sunday make sure to get your reservation in at one of the motels listed in the info on the forum calendar for May 11. Commencements, antique malls and shows, car events and more fill the motels fast so don't delay in calling them.
The Green House is located at 639 East Euclid Ave Springfield. There is a west and an east Euclid, make sure you turn on E Euclid.
The Ferncliff Cemetery is located at 501 W McCrieght Ave. The office is just to your left as you enter. We will leave on our wagon tour from this point at 10 am.
The Springfield Heritage Center is at 117 S Fountain Ave. It is the long stone building with the clock tower on the east end.
The Westcott House is at 1340 E High St. High St runs east and west across town.
Grandpas Garage is at 4700 S Charleston Pike. It is also accessible from exit 59 off I 70 at State Route 41.
