Oh what is this that made it's way home with me today???

Traded my 1953 Superior Landau today for a nice compliment to my 1956 S&S high top. This one is 100% complete, solid and has really nice straight body panels. Looks like it's going to be a busy restoration winter with all these projects. :)

Definitely worth the 6 hour round trip!

Very nice indeed. I notice who ever did your camera work did well to stay out of the way. I know what moving a big car around without brakes is like.

Three Cheers well done with no brakes. Hope the guy walking behind it as you were pulling on had his life insurance paid up. I know the drive shaft did better than Austin loading with the forked loader. From all I see looks like another good runner.

Awesome

Of all of your cars this is the one I the most excited about seeing restored. Beautiful lines, you are the man!

Ron, I have one of these also. She is really cruddy at the moment but now that I have the short 56, it has a fire lit to do them both together. 2 series of 1956 S&S ambulances together, painted same scheme will sure make a stunning picture. ;)

Darryl that was an expert removal/load and go if I ever saw one! You didn't make a wrong move the whole time! And she's gonna be a beautiful coach too when she's done!

ok thats it

confession; I was born in 56 and my dad had a 56 superior combo and I have lusted after a hightop for years. never mention it for fear of finding one that I have to hit ccards to buy. i really want one and there is no but,s or maybe's i just haven't found the right one that i wouldn't have to cash in my 401k to get. good luck in the resto. went to a good home. im available for sanding after new years if you need help. or driving when its done. you know to just check it out. just trying to help...

Both of them painted in the same scheme sounds awesome. Well you shouldn't get bored this winter.

1956 Cadillac was an interesting year. We have a 56 Coupe De Ville. The beautiful deep dish wheel covers will only fit a 1956 wheel. Guess this must be on a 56 commercial 86 frame? And that GM made deep dish 56 riveted commercial wheels?

Great find! 1956 is one of our favorite years also!
