I got the vinyl off. Whew! No surprises! Just the rust I was expecting on the windshield frame and belt line. For everyone's info, this car is a combination of steel and fiberglass. Fiberglass top attached to sheetmetal structure.

I climbed up on top with scraper and went to town on the glue which came off really easy. The frame will need rebuilt, the belt line on the pass. side needs a patch panel as well as above the drivers side rear door. Nothing I can't handle.

I have decided on a vanilla cream and rootbeer brown metallic scheme with a cream and brown half top. Really want to get away from black for now. I will make a band (crown band) for the top as well. Whoo. Should be an "easy" job.

Pat, search members' photos from Hudson... you can see Josh's/Ron's former combo in chocolate brown metallic for reference. I believe its a 1975.
 
Got the chrome belt line trim off yesterday. Wow is all I can say. I knew it was going to be bad but wow. I have to replace the metal there no doubt. Just too far gone.:( But let's move on.
