Oh Richard................

Ron Devies

PCS Ohio Chapter President PCS Past Vice President
You know how terribly I HATE to rub this in BUT I had to mention. Our fire department had a run tonight and the back up sqaud was down. As the hospital was quite a ways away my van went back into service. I knew you would want to know while your out aiding turtles and so on. I took some pictures with my cell phone and Paul will post them for you. :boo:

Don't Drink and Surf Ebay

I like that van!

It was an ebay accident. I was trying to run up the bid so it didn't end up a tailgate van. Well, I succeeded in getting that bid up........the van is growing on me but the next time I am taking the high top

Want to sell it? Trade? Got some good funeral stuff!:applause:

Kyle would cut up his body into small parts and stuff them into all those child caskets you have. Good thing that Ron is an ambulance kind of guy... I don't think that there is a trade in his future for what you presently have... except for possibly the Criterion...

Danny,
Paul is right, many a time I have considered selling that van but for some reason Kyle just loves that thing. It is identical to one I worked out of at Gold Cross in Salem back in 77. Identical as they were both low top Ford Econolines that took forever to warm up and had no power steering. Like I say though, it is growing on me and this summer we are going to put power steering on it and a throttle so you do not have to sit there reving the engine till it is warmed up.

Put a block heater into the engine... Lot faster, and will work much better at a lower cost of operation. With gas rapidly approaching $3.00 a gallon, electricity is the better choice...

better yet take the time to pull the intake and drill out carbon in the cross over. those barely run ones always build up in the cross over and then would not warm up the base of the carburetor. making it hard to go when cold.

ford van ambulances

we had 1971&1972 ford van ambulances that had the same problem with warming up. it's actually a problem with the choke. installing an electric choke will solve the problem. if you can't locate a source for these contact me as i have a local supplier that has them available.that rig brings back a lot of memories for me! how about posting some better pics.:my2cents:

Photos

After everything has been serviced and detailed I am planning on a little photo shoot with the fleet and individually as well. I am anxious to get the 64 home to join in those photos.

Almost......

I had both ambulances at the funeral home yesterday for the local car show. While working a funeral a man started grabbing his chest and bending over. Terri kept asking him if he was ok all the while I'm asking, "Want me to get the ambulance?" True story with the "Ga-Father" as a witness since he was in the back watching.

"My Day will Come!"

Why do I get this picture of Ga-Father whacking the guy across the head with a sap and dragging him in the back.
