I cant find the original ad, but I did find the copy I made for our chapter newsletter. I was a little off on the saying in the ad.
It actually said
"Fine Furniture, Jewelry, and appliances.
Department Store Funeral Directors.
24 hour Ambulance service"
I know many old funeral homes also sold furniture, but its just the way its written makes it sound less than dignified. It was from a 1963 Emmet county IA Farm Directory.
