Today a friend and I went on a 'goose' chase. One of our coffee drinking guys
was telling about a Cadillac pickup truck he saw. After he saw a 58 Cadillac in
Walt McCall's Funeral Service & Flower Cars Photo Archive he said 'that's it'.
We chased it down today. Turns out not to be a 58. It is a 55 Cadillac. I am
guessing made by Superior. I say guessing as the signs on the property stated
nothing is for sale don't ask. No one around to talk to. We got a couple pictures
and left before we were invited to leave.
On the return home we found a building with Crosley cars, Isetta car, Benelli
motorcycles, Cushman scooters, and lots more. It was closed and again no one
around. This one is closer to home. A return trip might be in my near future.
This was a very good day. Could only have been better if the flower car had been for sale.

Sounds like a fun day. A couple years ago i almost bought a Crosley wagon, should have never let that one get away.

Nothing but Jokers

Gotta love it when whoever has/owns cars like that just lets them sit and rot away or takes forever to get them roadworthy and they just sit and rot anyway!! They should be hung by their heels upside down and beat mercilessly into submission to sell it to someone who'd appreciate it!! :whip:

Looks like a home-made job to me. The Superior flower cars of that vintage had a higher roof line - with more of a dome appearance. Too bad. Wish it had been a "real" flower car. At any rate, sounds like you had a great day.

59 would be the first commercial glass . but from that angle it hard to tell. so many of there were made into pickups. but it doesn't look like a car produced by any of the big players of the day.

One thing that you have to remember, (which makes this hobby so hard), is some funeral homes had cars converted at a local shop, so although not one of the big builder flower cars, it may still have been made for this porpose. I would like to see pics of the "well" it may help decide if it was a hack job, or professional.
