Today I acquired this 1970 low top ambulance. Does anyone Know of an ambulance company or a funeral home somewhere in Kentucky that ran a purple low top. opinions ? Input? To me this was an unusual car

Original color Alizerene Violet

White interior

That will be a good looking and very unique ambulance, once it is done. I would leave it alone, as far as the color.

Good luck with your new ambulance Bruce!

It's a good looking and very unique ambulance now! Looks good for a original 42 year old car! What do you know so far about it's history?

now Bruce you don't want that car out there in the middle of all those high tops. your lose site of it and forget you even have it around. why don't I take it off your hands? vary few of these around I muss say the color combination should make for a stunning car. that color is a standard caddy color.

Wow, she is gonna be a stunner again! My #1 choice when I can afford it someday will be a 54" Superior hightop. But, these standard headroom ambulances look so sleek, if I ever get rich I will HAVE to add a couple to my collection. I love the way they look, and even though the rear compartment was most certainly more challenging to work in, I'll bet the drivers loved them too! Easier to handle, and probably LOTS faster!

And I dare say, M-M standard headroom ambulances look at least as good as the standard headroom Superiors in my opinion.

Nice acquisition Bruce, thanks so much for saving her and providing her with a great home!

Bruce, Can you provide the M-M body number? I'll see what I can come up with.

Also, we're having a Volunteer Chapter Meet the weekend of Sept. 21 in Kentucky. I'll ask a few in that area that might know something.

Purple is my favorite color. While not that exact shade is my favorite but still very uniquely nice combination. Very cool to know there's atleast one factory purple pro-car out there so far.
