New Lincoln Continental

I like the look, but probably not a good platform for coachbuilders. Definitely not a car for anyone who is clostraphobic! The front clip looks very much like the new Dodge Chargers.
 
The article did not reveal the dimensions of the car, but it looks big to me. Note that Ford has hinted that this will be a rear wheel drive model. Some have mentioned that the prototype resembles a Bentley in body style, and that grill is styled similar to that of the Jaguar XJ.
 
The first thing I though when I saw this new concept was 'Bentley.' Which, as the article implies, is not necessarily a bad thing. I think that this is the first American luxury car I've seen in a long time that really looks luxurious. It appears to have seating very similar to what some Maybach cars have, the body lines are neat, and the grill looks hungry for oxygen. I am very impressed, and I seldom ever say that about car designs these days.

Will it actually be RWD? Will it be a car that coach-makers can apply their craft to? I wish I could say. But I'll definitely be watching the evolution of this concept to see what it's future will be!
