new car

got a call from some trucker this morning at about 7:30. claimed he had a car for me. now I did not buy anything off e-bay that wasn't match box. so why is this tucker calling me. we made arrangements to meet and he says his instruction were to drop it off here and he handed me the key. claimed some old guy in Connecticut drove it on the trailer and got it to far to the right, he has been running unbalanced ever since. I'm at a loss, but early Christmas present from my Jewish friend are most likly a double edged sword. this one will be a fun car to do. just as soon as I get a superior done

closer to a professional car junk yard right now. but we'll get them farmed out to other places. needless to say I don't think I'll be looking for something to do for a while. I was hoping to keep my 86 and 68 inside this winter.

looks like you have your future time all planned out for you. You can never have enough space when playing with these big cars. Have fun on the project looking forward to see the progress.

I see the air cleaner lid is OFF!! We have been talking a lot about that lately..........

It was on when the car left, but with all the shaking on the truck, the top fell off. The wing nut is one of those things that went missing a while back.

Rumor has it that the "wing nut" is still in Connecticut, just kidding Paul. I think having Ed do this ambulance is a good move. I guess we will all be anxious to see the progress.

Now I know why you backed out on selling it to me. Should have just sent it to Southern Kentucky instead. Then you could have had a little cash in your pocket instead of it leaving your pocket.

I didn't back out of selling it to you... You weren't ready to make a commitment, when I was. I needed to find a warm home for the car, instead of leaving it out in the cold. Once I made the call to Ed, and he said to send it, the next call was to the transport company. From that point forward, its fate was sealed. Moving a car doesn't add to it's value, only the expense. I am now committed to completing the project. I had already completed all the mechanical repairs to make it roadworthy, so the only thing left is to smear some paint on it, and put in a new floor.

After Ed is done with it, Paul is sending it back to the Pacific Northwest where it rightfully belongs. Im trading him a 71 Continental Mark III for it!

Ed wasn't sure what to do with the leftover green paint from Brendan's project, so he made Paul an offer he couldn't refuse. Trouble is, Paul really wanted a red & white ambulance, but there's only enough green to do the bottom quarter.

Now we'll have to see if Santa's white / red / green sleigh will be finished in time for the holidays...

Geez Ed...looks like you could use a Flxible Buick to keep all the others company! :657:

funny part was the driver had to unload two to get the beast out of belly. the Beast was the only one that would start. pushed off a ratty 58 person and a real sharp but dead battery 70's mustang cobra. then the 69 started filling the trailer up with blue smoke and slithered its way out of the hole. we now have it tucked away for a little bit till I can get to it. you can laugh all you want but this 69 dollar car cover has been the best thing I have bought in a long time. the perfect one for guests.

Its a good thing I prolly never get the funds to get my 49 painted. Looks like you have enough projects to keep you busy for a long time! You and Rocky should get together and open up a pro car resto shop.

but we would have to meet half way to do it and who wants to live in Sioux falls. that's nasty country for cars. I would love to help with one of those chopped tops. just something I have never done. I wanted one of them I had to get a Hudson they chopped them at the factory
