New addition

As of Sunday I have a new addition to the collection. Although not officially a classic, I have always liked the looks of these. It is a just out of service 1995 Superior Chevrolet Chancellor with 52,000 miles. I am the third owner. Too bad it only has the 4.3 instead of the optional 5.7 LT1. Superior built 71 of these in '95.
The pictures are not the best it was a very foggy and wet day. I took these just before I took posession of the coach at the funeral home where I bought it.

I like it!

Those plastic wheelcovers gotta go however. I'd look for a set of the OEM Caprice alloy wheels.

I'm guessing these were used as "first call" cars. But what a handsome car it is.

congrats!

No these were used as front line hearses just like a Cadillac would be. It is for the funeral director that did not want to spend the big bucks for a Cadillac.
All the Chevy emblems have been removed by Superior on these cars.
These are not the correct hubcaps, the original ones have fallen off the car over the years, they were also plastic, and the Chevy emblem was covered with Superior's Fluer-De-Lis medallions.
Here is a pic of the correct hubcaps I need.

nice car John. you see the caddies all the time I kind of like the different stuff.

Thats why I am kind of steering away from the Caddys, this makes 13 pro-cars I have owned and 8 have been Cadillacs. Alot of people really want to talk to you about a different breed of coach, most people think they are all Caddys.

90s Chevy Caprice wheels

John is not the only one who might be looking for those Caprice wheels. I will be checking out the pick and pull soon. They have a few Caprices from time to time.

That is a very sharp looking car, and it is also a very unique vehicle.. Enjoy driving it, and have a great time showing it around town... Paul

Nice hearse there John. Some people know just where to look. It appears to be in fantastic shape. Nice to get a Pro-Car that doesn't need work!

Great car, John! We'll look forward to seeing it at a meet this year.

Was the original owner Thauwald Funeral Home in Preston, MN? They had one just like that.

I have been told it came from St. Ansger (SP?) Iowa. Right now waiting for a duplicate title to see what it says, also Joe Bunn is doing checking for me. I bought it from Mason-Lindhart in Humbolt Iowa.

Tony, I just found out the coach was ordered new by Premier Coaches, (which we both know well), so It sounds like the St Ansger (sp) may be correct, although I have not heard back from Paul H. yet. The info along with alot of other great info was supplied to me by Joe Bunn.
I know Mason-Lindhart bought the coach in 2001 when it was traded back to Premier.
