Never abandon the search.

When I bought my '60 Eureka in 1995, one of the rear interior sconce lamp shades was badly cracked. I always kept my eye out for one, coming up with nothing...... until last week. I'm not at liberty to reveal names, but person "A"
discovered person "B" with a '60 Eureka who happened to have an extra sconce that I needed. Further, he was in need of a sconce shade from the late '50's, which I happened to have. Person "A" helped put together a phone meeting in which we negotiated an even swap of lamp shades. I'm now thrilled to say that my '60 has two perfect shades in the back. Now, the search continues for a shade for my '39 Eureka LaSalle. Any help would be very much appreciated. See pics below. Tom

Great news that it arrived Tom - especially in time for the meet!

Nick was looking to acquire a cracked sconce if I didn't mention previously. May want to drop him a PM. ;)

Person "C" says good job! Further evidence of what comes from collaboration and cooperation. My standard response anymore when people ask, "how do you find parts for those cars?" is "it's not what you know; it's who you know!"

it also pays to pick up parts when offered or you have a chance. someone needs them and you need some thing else. swapping parts is the best way to go about it.

For sure I am interested in the broken one! Broken is better than none. as far as a '58-'64 Eureka table, the search goes on..........

Person "D", D for Darren, loves to hear stories like this !

Too bad people A and B can't be mentioned.

Way to go ! ...and like you say... NEVER GIVE UP !

Darren

Thanks......

Thanks, everyone. But Tony, as you well know, it's not so much who you know, as the desire and persistence and determination to get the part you need, or the car you want. A bit of good fortune goes a long way too. Tom

Darren, I'm not trying to hide a secret source, or anything like that. It's just that I don't have the peoples' permission, and I don't know the man very well who had my sconce, so I don't want to bring him into the public light without his approval. I'm sure you understand.

By the way, I expect to be bringing a handful of '62 S&S parts to Hudson with me. I certainly look forward to seeing your new '60. Tom

No worries. It was a "take off" from another thread about people not posting their names. Sorry for the misunderstanding !

I don't own a Eureka anyways... yet !

Thanks !

Can't wait to see your 1960 Eureka brother !!!

Drive safe,
Darren
