will today was it. we backed out the 58 to put the center lights in the shop. then blew out all the ledges and corners dust bunnies from everything and put the tools away. we can start with a fresh attitude tomorrow. Virgle has given us the nod for the two tone so we will get the rear door split. so she will be two tone blue. with the two colors out in the sun it really shows the blue in the top.

we can just as soon as we get the finish buffed. still need to two tone the rear door and get a spot or two. the colors are A 58 combination. it was a special order set used mainly on the Eldorado. really a two tone blue but the lighter color has so much metallic in it it appears gray under artificial light. I was forced to go up to the 65 year to find a formula for the blue they could mix so that it has a little bigger flake then th 58 color. it goes from dark as black to true blue with a heavy sparkle depending on the light. kind of hard to photograph the effect

Paul put me up to it. I was wanting to try a two tone but white did not trip my trigger and it's hard to find two colors of blue that go togather yet still harmonise with the two tone gray and dark flooring interior. we were talking on the phone on day and he suggested the special combination to me. the CLC magazine came out a week later with there 58 focas and there was one painted that combination in it. I did not like it on the car. but what the heck I could not find any other, only out the price of the pain. if I did not like it It this would not be the first car I color sanded. here are a couple more I took yesterday.

I love a paint with depth to it you can't get this look out of base/clear. all that you can get is a flat shine.

You did a great job on the hood, but the fender look terrible. :D

Seeing the photos of the roof of that car in the sunlight gives me an even better idea for the '64. Tony K. and Ron D. will know what I'm talking about. Love that color, that's what I'm talkin' about!!!!!!

I think the Seattle Seahawks had good luck with that color.:D
You are right it almost looks like silver in the picture, looks very nice.
