The Volunteer Chapter would like to invite you to our first official Winter get together. Without knowing what the weather will be like, don't feel obligated to bring a procar, just yourself! But, if you can bring a procar, even better! We will meet at Caney Fork Fish Camp (www.caneyforkfishcamp.com) located at 2400 Music Vally Drive in Nashville, near the Opryland area, at 7:30 pm Friday December 4th. Our host hotel is Fiddlers Inn (www.fiddlers-inn.com), located at 2410 Music Valley Drive. I have 5 rooms reserved at $59.95 each, $71.52 with tax included, per night. The phone number is 1-877-223-7621. When you call let them know you are with the PCS. Any rooms over 5 will still be honored at the same price. The complete schedule of events is not complete and I will post more as I get it worked out. I am working on several short day tours on Saturday and if there is time left a trip to Lane Motor Museum (www.lanemotormuseum.org) in the afternoon. Admission is $7.00 per person, $6.00 if we have 15 or more people. Saturday night we will be going to Opryland Hotel to check out their Christmas festivities. There is plenty to do in the area and if anyone wants to go on their own and shop, go to the Grand Ole Opry or whatever, they can feel free do to that, too.
Be sure that there will be plenty of good food, fun things to do, hanging out in the parking lot (well, maybe hanging out in the hotel rooms-depending on the weather), cigar smoking, and all the fun stuff the Volunteer Chapter is known for! :) Hope to see you there. If you have any questions, please call LeeAnn Boston 615-969-2880 or Jeremy Ledford 615-604-8725.

Being I can't sleep for sneezing, I thought I'd add all the details - at 3:00 in the morning!

We will start the day off at 8:00 am with breakfast at Cracker Barrel next door to our hotel. Our first stop will be Lane Motor Museum, www.lanemotormuseum.org from approximately 10:00 - 12:00. We will be having lunch at Raffertys,www.raffertys.com. After we leave Raffertys we will go visit Woodlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, http://www.dignitymemorial.com/0714/LocalHome.aspx?id=home&LocNumbNLang=0714&LoadDefault=0 Next stop Ambulance Coach Sales, www.amb-coach..com. And after that we will be going to John A. Gupton Mortuary College for a tour.. This will be a first Volunteer Chapter event, a tour of a mortuary school! We will have dinner at Rotier's, www.rotiers.com. Be sure to check out Rotier's website and read about their history. I know it sounds like a lot to do in one day, but all are located in Nashville and about 5 - 10 minutes apart from each other, so we won't be spending much time driving to each location. And if we aren't worn out at the end of the day we can go to Opryland Hotel and see the Christmas decorations. Lane Motor Museum is optional and we will decide Saturday morning at breakfast if we want to go there, or be able to spend more time at the other places. But, of course, if just one person wants to go there, we will go! If we decide not to go, we can add it to the meet in April.

Take 2 Lunesta tablets and then take 2 Clariton tablets in the morning when you awake. Then take out your check book, and send me a check for professional services / advise in the amount of $50. It would have been more, however, you have received a preferred PCS Membership discount. :D

If anyone plans of having dinner with us Friday night, December 4th, at Caney Fork Fish Camp, if it isn't too much trouble, please let me know. I had to make reservations and I need as close as I can get to an accurate head count. I only made reservations for 15 and we are approaching that number. If we go over 15, because of the holidays, I have to pay a deposit. All the deposit is for is to cover a 'no show'. But, last time I made reservations there I over estimated and I had to pay for 4 dinners that I ended up taking home and eventually threw out because I wasn't home long enough that weekend to eat them. I have until Wednesday the 2nd to give them the total head count, so if anyone has already told me they will be there and has a change in plans, please let me know. Also if I am short, we may not be able to sit together. Thanks for your help! See 'ya there!

Thanks!

We may not have the largest meets but we sure have people that travel a long way to be with us. Dave Maple from Michigan, Rick & Trish Cox (treaded through snow and ice) and Stephen Mayfield from Kentucky, Mike & Shelley Stevens from Ohio and Danny Ryder from Georgia all came. And other than Jeremy and myself, 1 local person - Kent Martinson. And 4 procars were present. We had a great time. I don't know how we did so much in one day and never really felt rushed. Saturday we went to Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lane Motor Museum, Ambulance Coach, John A Gupton College and Music City Mortuary and also worked in our 3 meals! For those staying on Saturday night, we also toured around downtown Nashville in Elmo. Not much hanging out outside, though. It was sunny, but cold! Thanks to everyone that came! :)
