Myerstown 60th May 6-7, 2016

The Myerstown First Aid Unit in Myerstown PA. will be celebrating their 60th anniversary i on May 6-7 2016 and I'll be taking the 78 Horton down for their celebration. I'm also talking to Mac Gilpin about taking the ex Myerstown 1971 S&S Medic 1 Cadillac

I was wondering if anyone in Pennsylvania and around Myerstown would be interested in bringing their Ambulance for the weekend or day to help MFAU celebrate ?? just a thought

Though I don't have anything to show pro-car wise, I've already marked my calendar on the possibility I can you join you in honoring a squad that obviously takes very good care of their rigs and reliably specs them out in intriguing color schemes. Myerstown is perhaps two-and-a-half hours southwest of where I live now but I know the area well, thanks to constant exploration during my Lehigh University days in the early 1980s. I still have the list of motels I compiled along the U.S. 422 corridor just in case all the rooms closer to Fall Hershey were filled up. I am also still in the position to heartily recommend other nearby diversions like the miniature village Roadside America in Shartlesville; the hearty Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine at Haag's Hotel down the road; and Esther's Diner, a Hershey flea marketeer favorite that's been in business six-plus decades near the spot where old US 22 forks off from I-78 in Fredericksburg. There's also a village of Hamlin, PA a little east of there that Fans of George Hamlin might want to check out!
