My "new" job...

Just in case you all thought I had abandoned the site...an update for what it's worth. I started a new job last week as the Director of Emergency Services for a local regional medical center where I worked 28 years ago as a new grad EMT and then nurse. Come about full circle, but couldn't pass up the opportunity and had to bid farewell to my friends at Acadian (although obviously I will still see them in the ER) and move back to the ER. We are building a new facility from the scratch, and the transition will be something to see. I have been getting reacquainted with friends from long ago that were there when I left in '82.

The Pontiac is coming along, and now has a clean engine compartment, nearly ready for some paint, and hoping to get the Jasper engine installed before 15 May...and it's debute in our local St Jude Charity Motorcycle Ride.

I have updated my email in the directory, cell phone is the same for those that call and poke fun (Paul).

I called you at your old work number last week, and they said "Who"...... "Who".... then they said you flew the coop like an old owl.... :stars:

Thanks for the notes. Had a few real busy days, and am still getting my bearings as it were back in the flow, but enjoying every moment. We see about 80-100 patients per day running 24 rooms.

Our weather has improved dramatically here, so hope to get back on the Pontiac soon...

Haven't had a night shift in years. I am blessed with a great team here, and probably the ER of choice in the community. We are set to open a brand new facility in 2011, which is a first for me. Never worked in a brand new ER...
