My ambulance in the news (kinda)

Great that it made the news.

A friend used his hearse to take his daughter to her prom last year.

I don't have any kids but maybe I can find someone to take to a prom in my hearse sometime. Maybe some friends kids in 10 years or so.

They will remember that forever for sure !

Neat post,
Darren

My son informs me that he wants to take my car to his senior prom in '13. Those who have seen my car will know that this next year and a half will be a busy and expensive time for me to meet this deadline. (and then he graduates and will be looking for assistance with college tuition)

Mr. Karsnia, this will fit nicely into the time frame to have the car ready for the International the following year.

Very cool! Glad to see others are using procars for the prom too. A friend of mine and I went to the prom in 2001 in my '66. Years ago, his family somehow got a life-size cardboard cut out of Rod Stewart. They bring him out and dress him up appropriately for group pictures on holidays, graduations, life's milestones, etc. Below is a pic that my friend took of Rod and I before we left for the prom. We put Rod in the back, so he could come along for the ride as well.

DEAR SARAH: Hope the young lady who took your Miller-Meteor to the prom had a live date in addition to the Rod Stewart cutout. Even if we Think He's Sexy, he wouldn't spring for the corsage in this two-dimensional format!

I went to prom in '05 in a friends '69 Chrysler 300 convertible, as it wasn't until the following year that we purchased our coach. We have used it for 2 proms since, one where a photo of the graduates sitting in the back with the door open made it into the local paper. The stink that was caused and arguments that ensued in the "Letters to the Editor" section went on for *months* after the fact! The coach was 100% stock, I was driving and was dressed in a suit.

Gregg, that's me in the pic. My date was taking the pic. Couldn't find any pics of me with my date and Rod on my computer.
