My 60 superior just got painted.

After 4 months of block sanding and some metal work, my coach is finally painted. Gloss black textured on the top, and gloss base and clear on the body. Rick and his guys did an awesome job on this car.

It is really shaping up well. I like what you have done with the roof. When do you think that you will start putting it all back together? It seems like a daunting task, but you just keep chipping away at it a little at a time, and before you realize it, it will be ready for the road.

Hopefully by next spring it will be finished. I have an extensive amound of interior to do. Cranging the color so everything has to be redone. Attila might post a pic of a door panel after while. I found 1959 Cadillac Biarritz material for the accent trim. But everything will look original.

One thing at a time !

Each step will be one closer to you driving that beauty !

Make sure you enjoy doing it. The goal is driving it but put your heart into each step so the final product is one of your dreams.

That way you will know you did your best and that will result in your final product being incredible.

If you are having fun on the journey, it will make the destination all that much better.

Don't rush it, you don't want to say I wish I had of done this or that better when it is done. It takes a small amount of time more when you are working on it before it is finished verses trying to redo it when it's completed.

Just a recommendation having done many projects of different kinds over the years.

Keep us in the loop on your progress. We love seeing photos and a car coming back to life during a restoration.

All the best,
Darren

I love it when someone (besides me) puts some serious money and effort into restoring one of these procars. Since it's a '60 Superior, and a combination, you certainly won't regret it when you're done and showing it. Good job! Good luck! Tom

big bucks

don't think your the only one extrouding cash. i've got 12 large in a 63 fleetwood and 5 or 6 to go. and i did most of the mechanical myself and got the car for free(my son). interior will be the most. rear is cloth but going back with leather. even the jumpseats. plus still having issues with the ac. its in body shop prison now but progress being made. car is in 3rd coat of primer as he is a very good body and paint man. guide coat next per him and back to blocking. wasnt gonna go this far with the car and just have a slick driver but has gotten to nice so cant stop now. black is beautifull when done right. chrome is mostly back but not all. trying to decide on big or little whitewalls now. havent decided yet but got time. if it turns out as nice as some of you guys cars i'll be happy.

big wallet

Kyle remember....

TEXAS............

where everything is BIG.......... even the amount of money that goes into a ProCar !!!

yeah everything is big here but my wallet. between this house and my cars im fastly becoming the man with all the toys but no cash for gas. oh well i like just looking atem anyway. wanna become a millionaire car guy? start with 2 mill. but when i die i want all the toys surrounding me. then who cares...if i had all that northern california money i could probaly have had all the toys by now. but since i dont ill have to keep plugging away. if i had access to the fisher dynasty money my worries would be over.

I had toys once, now it just stuff I don't use anymore. as for money it's the biggest curse in the world. I must be getting old. I keep thinking what am I going to do with all this stuff. will I guess I'll just keep pounding tin till it goes away.

Wow Stephen, the body and paint look great (and thanks Atti for the pics). I'm in the thick of restoring a '60 S&S that I can only hope will get a paint job that sharp. Nice to see one that's a bit further along.

Having the patience to do things right the first time, and to a standard you will be happy with is what I'm finding to be the key. Please keep the updates and pics coming!
