MSA Pneolator manual?

Just received an MSA Pneolator I picked up from Ebay. I remember our local VFD having one in the mid seventies when I was a volunteer but we never ever actually used it except to supply oxygen.

I'm guessing that this was MSA's attempt to compete with E&J, H&H and Stephenson for the powered resuscitator market. Does anyone happen to have a scanned manual and/or parts list they could email me?

Hey Bill,

I had two of these devices at one point and ended up giving one to my friend in Florida, Kevin Lynch.

It's been a while since I opened it and I'm pretty sure that there were some instructions, perhaps a manual.

Problem now, the cars are put away for the winter... so I need to make a trip to seethem and look for you.


You may also try Kevin, to see if his unit had a manual when I gave it to him at the Daytona Meet (I can't remember!)

If all else fails, MSA's Corporate Headquarters is just across the street from my office and while I don't know too many people there, I might be able to find out who could possibly help.

Perhaps better late than never! See below.

The Pneolator competed with Emerson, E&J, and McKesson combinaiton resuscitator/inhalator/aspirator. The H&H Inhalator - while less popular by the 1950s, is a straight inhalator only.

Big, Heavy and awkward, We had one on a rig when i first started back in the 60's. A tough carry for one guy, but we used to do it. No wonder my back is bad.
