Mother nature truely hates me!

Thomas E Westfall - Deceased 1970 - 2017

July 7, 1970 ~ June 10, 2017
I think mother nature finally won. all I have wanted is to get the travelall ambulance home and once again Mt Airy Maryland is getting pummeled with snow. I think if she does not make it home this Tuesday I'm giving up. it is to far off the driveway to risk getting the flatbed stuck in the yard and where it sits we can't winch it out. we have over 150' of cable and chain, but it is tucked in behind the garage. ugh I have wondered if this is an omen that it should not be moved. im not kidding that every time we were ready to go get her Maryland suffered a massive winter storm. if anyone has a magic wand please wave it and utter the magic words that will make the travelall magically move to the driveway where we can hook to it. lol

Sorry to hear that Tom,....47F here today...bbq'd burgers as well...
Don't worry, mine is still tarped up and the battery in the basement. Too early yet to get it on the road.

Thomas,
this happened to me as well when I bought my 1954 Superior from a guy in Saskatchewan Canada. The deal was if I paid full price he would deliver it to Calgary. I told the guy that I would be over to ship it to Australia by Feb. and he said that it would absolutly be there by then. When I arrived in Calgary there was no car. After a few games of phone tag he said he had a private company engaged to deliver it. Four months later I finally had a contractor pick it up and deliver to Calgary. In my case I think the guy was just a cheap crook.

Things worth getting don't always come easy !

This winter has been one of the worst in the last 20 years. Doesn't matter if you are in the US or Canada, this winter was much colder and longer than we have had for many years.

Relax, it is yours. When the weather breaks it will be a fun, enjoyable and very easy pick-up.

No need to stress and give yourself high-blood pressure !
That is a silent killer.

We want to hear how much fun your trip was and how easy it was to load next.

We are all routing for ya !!! ...and not many of us like this weather either !!!

Look forward to the next chapter in this vehicle acquisition,
Darren

Magic words include: 4x4, chain, portable air tank, and maybe a sledgehammer.

All that's needed to pull Travelall around for easier loading in driveway - although traction does make process smoother. You're overthinking.

Or you could simply get on a better schedule that doesn't conflict with Mother Nature. There have been plenty of nice days! ;)

Well. weather be damned. My '74 Coupe started her long journey to Austria in the snow this morning.......always mixed feelings when you say goodbye to one.

Photos Tomorrow....Maybe

We still have snow over a foot on the ground but the roads are bare. That's about to change. Central MN under winter storm warning Tuesday into Wednesday with potential of 4-8 inches of slop. Those east of us take note.

Spring cannot come soon enough. But no fear, August will be very nice for Respond to Rochester.

So if the opportunity presents itself, photos tomorrow.

I keep saying, "be patient, be patient, be patient". The Travelall has been sitting in my yard for 15 years, another couple weeks won't matter. I'm not selling it to someone else.

But yes, your timing has continually been thwarted by the weather. :snow2_smi:

Spring WILL be here eventually.
