More Paramedic Week events in Canada

I was asked by PCS member and Toronto Paramedic Glen Gillies to bring my Horton up to Lindsay, Ontario to help celebrate Paramedic Week. Glen and his wife Robin who is also a Toronto Paramedic drove a 1966 Superior Pontiac Bonneville Consort up while I drove the 78 Horton. we had a great time ...lots of display's from Kawartha Lake District Paramedic's and the OPP


The 66 Superior is own by the Toronto Paramedic Services. It was purchased by the Jasper Volunteer Fire Brigade in Jasper, Alberta, Canada in 1967. It was phased out of service in 1885. In 1991 Crestline Coach purchased it and in 2005 sold it to Toronto EMS for $3,000
Since then the Superior Pontiac has undergone a full "body off" restoration completed in May 2013

the second last Picture is of Mr Bill Keepers ( hope I got his last name right )

this gentleman worked for Toronto Ambulance 47 years ago. On Friday he showed up wearing his original Toronto Ambulance uniform from 1968 very cool

then a few hours later he came up to me and said "Here this is for you and your Rig"
he was holding a working FLYNN MK lll Oxygen Ventlator

Now mind you I just met this gentleman 3 hours earlier how cool is that !

Cobourg Paramedic Weeks event

Today Glen Gilles and I went to the town of Cobourg with the 66 Superior and the 78 Horton to help the Northumberland County Paramedic services with their BBQ and awards.
