Moon Park cruise-in

Last Sunday, August 26th, members of the Tri-State chapter attended the annual Moon Park cruise-in, at Moon Park, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. We only had four cars this year, but we still had a great time, as usual. It was a perfect day and we had lots of admirers. This is one of the largest car cruise-ins of the year, with cars packed into every available spot in the park. I have no idea what the official count is, but it has to be upwards of 1,500 cars. Here are a few pics from the day--I apologize upfront to John Royark, my hood is open (I got tired of opening it up for folks who asked). Last pic is not a pro-car, but one of my all time favorites, and a beautiful example at that.

Thanks for the pictures Shawn! Your 68 limo looks gorgeous!

Thanks, Bill. There certainly were some gorgeous cars there that day, and some very unusual ones as well. At the risk of getting into trouble, I will post a pic of my favorite "oddity", a BMW Isetta. Please don't come down on me too hard, I know it's not a pro-car.

Not at all funny, neat ,thanks, just learned recently that those are not convertibles,in the event of an collision and the lone door is jammed that is an escape hatch, and if you don't wear your seatbelt could be a launch portal...

I am a huge fan of micro cars, Isettas, Citroen 2CVs, Fiat 500, 600 and Multiplas and on and on. My wife says that she can't believe I love procars and micro cars, opposite ends of the spectrum, plus she is quick to point out that she thinks I can't even fit in one. She may be right, but I love them anyway.
