Michigan Chapter at the Sloan Auto Fair - Flint, MI

Brad Ross

PCS Michigan Chapter President
The Michigan Chapter attended the 38th annual Sloan Auto Fair this past weekend, June 26-27 on the grounds of the Flint Cultural Center in Flint, Michigan. Approximately 600 cars were in attendance for this year's event. Those of you who attended last year's International Meet will remember the Flint Cultural Center as the place where our Saturday Concours D'Elegance was held.

Saturday proved to be the best of the two days weather-wise, but most of us attended at least part of the day on Sunday as well. The show was ended a little early on Sunday due to inclement weather and the possibility of hail.

Those in attendance included: Kim and James McDonald, Brad Ross, Dewayne and Lenore Ross (Brad's parents), Kevin Parkinson (and sons Kevin and Michael), Dr. Dennis Lloyd, Scott Walker, Tom Boaz, Dale and Betty Cole, and Brady Smith. My apologies if I missed anyone.

Professional Cars in attendance were:
1959 Superior Cadillac Royale 3-Way - Dr. Dennis Lloyd
1972 S&S Cadillac Victoria - Kevin Parkinson
1983 Collins Cadillac - James and Kim McDonald
1988 Superior Cadillac - Brad Ross

To make sure this thread is not worthless...some pictures for your enjoyment :)

Wow Michigan Chapter nice time and nice pictures. Kevin's 72 screams BEAUTIFUL. I see Scott's 56 Buick peaking out in one picture and Brad's 1st place winning hearse. When looking at Dr. Lloyd's 59 front plate I thought it read SCI but I was mistaken. I see the McDonald hearse but no Brady Pro-Car. With that beautiful Lifeliner of his I know it would have made a great display but he has so many cars it's hard to choose which one to drive.

Looks like the PCS Chapters are out an about and having some fun-YIPPY!!!!

Brady did bring out the Lifeliner later in the afternoon to a restaurant cruise that we stopped at after the Sloan show ended for the day. Those in attendance at this "unoffocial" chapter get together were: Brad Ross, his parents Dewayne and Lenore Ross, Brady Smith, Tom Boaz and his daughter, and me and the boys.

The Impala

The Impala made it down to the Sloan on Sunday. I started to take the Lifeliner on Saturday but the rain started before I could get it there and I didn't want to have to wash it again (so it went back in the garage)!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to thank Scott Walker, Tom Boaz, Kevin Parkinson, Brad Ross, James McDonald, and Howard Schulz for volunteering to work at the Sloan Auto Fair this year. You guys were great!

The Professional Car Society was well-publicized this past weekend. Flyers about the PCS were included in all 800 "goodie" bags for the car entries, were given to all the volunteers at the show, were available at the Information Booth, and was in the 28-page program thanking our car club for making the show a success.
