Volunteer Chapter Meet
Owensboro, Kentucky
May 13-15, 2011!

Friday. We will start our weekend off at Calhoun KY at 12:30 p.m. for a tour of the Muster Coach Company (300 Main Street. Calhoun, KY)and also the Muster Funeral Home. At around 4:00 p.m. we will depart from Muster’s and head back to Owensboro, get checked into the hotel Courtyard by Marriott 3120 Highland Point Drive Owensboro, KY 42303, Phone 1-270-685-4140. Rates this year are $139.00. (You may want to make your hotel reservations ASAP since this is the same weekend as the Owensboro BBQ Festival and hotel rooms are a scarce premium in the area!!!) At 7:00 p.m. we will have a group dinner at the Moon Lite BBQ Restaurant & Buffet, then head back to the hotel for pro-car fellowship and a good nights rest.

Saturday. After a 9:00 a.m. breakfast at Denny’s, we will take over the lobby or parking lot to share our photo albums and literature collections with each other and admire each others cars. During the late morning, we will (tentatively) tour MPH Industries, a supplier of emergency vehicle lights and equipment. Lunch in downtown Owensboro will be at the annual BBQ Festival and tour the downtown area. Dinner will be at Cracker Barrel, after which we will cruise over to Lowes for a 5:00 p.m. cruise-in at which we have been invited to display our coaches.
Sunday. For those who haven’t already headed home we will meet in the hotel lobby for coffee and a breakfast buffet.

Guys-this is probably our last year for our chapter meet here in Owensboro.
Jeremy and I have decided to change our chapter meet schedule for next year. if you all want one last look at "hearse heaven" at Muster's, plus great barbeque at the BBQ Festival, then you should attend.
Having 2 chapter meets so close together keeps Jeremy and I pretty busy putting shows together. Due to a busy work schedule and school also,I don't have time to put this show together anymore.
If anyone wants to attend,hotel rooms are reserved in my name,for both nights,the 13th and 14th. Thanks! Hope to see you there!
 
Less than a week out. BUT we have have VERY little interest this year with anyone planning on attending this meet due to high hotel prices, gas prices and weather threats. If we haven't received any RSVP's from anyone else by this Wednesday we will be calling this meet off.
 
Everything for Saturday is still on! Friday's events have been called off. We will start with the breakfast meet up on Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. at Denney's in Owensboro. Remember to bring chairs for the cruise in and rain gear if it rains any.

Perhaps one of these times Terri and I will come visit since we've come this way a time or two. Tomorrow we take the Vette to the "Vettes at the Lighthouse" car show (Vettes only) at Ponce DeLeon for the day.

Rain, rain and more rain.

Gotta love the Kentucky weather!!! Drove all Saturday morning in the rain to get there....cloudy in Owensboro and met up with Stephen and Jeremy where we got to spend a few hours only to have the car cruise in cancelled at the last minute because of another storm front coming into the area.

But Schnapps von Rhymer (our German Shepherd) enjoyed the outing!!! I will have to post a photo of him in his "Dogoggles" that he wears when he is cruising in the hearse!!
 
Thanks goes out to Jeremy and Rick for traveling 2.5 hours to Owensboro. The pro-car gods just weren't on our side this past weekend,as rain darkened our doorstep all weekend.Sorry guys! Hope that our meet in Harrodsburg,KY will be better. I'm ready for free ice cream all day long!!!:specool:
