If I remember correctly, Berz was in business until the early/mid 1990s in Chicago. I think it had something to do with financial problems that resulted in the owner pilfering the pension fund(s). I couldn't find anything online that shows an actual closing date.

I remember seeing white Berz Cadillacs in Chicago Until about 30 years ago. If I remember right, they had Q sirens on the roof.
