Manufacturer and model?

Could someone please tell me who the manufacturer was and the model number of this siren? Also what do these sirens sell for? I picked this one up at a flea market recently and it works great. I believe it is missing the front grill. Thank you.

the only way to tell is to measure it. it looks to me like a under hood federal 28. if so it has a 8 in rotator. 100 bucks is a average price for a working one.

Answer

It started life as a Sterling model 30. It is missing the rear housing and either grille or light. Several of the finger guard ribs are broken which kills its collectability. That said however, it is still a great sounding siren and would make a good underhood unit for any vehicle. Beware that these draw considerable amperage though.

Thank you all for the help again. There is such a wealth of knowledge on this site. As you can see I am cleaning it up and will be putting it under the hood of our 72 M-M. Except for the two broken grill guard tabs and the missing covers the unit is in pretty good shape. Thanks again.
