having entered the proceeder stage of life we were sent over to the twin cities for a couple of them. got to drop in and see Mike and find out how I was to have put the antenna bezel on the 69. thin skinny long clip, one that goes on from the front not the side. thanks I could not figure out what was missing. at least we put the right one on. then headed up to have supper with Tony and Kim. always a treat to get up there and out of the cities. we had to hang around for a day anyway as I was not allowed to drive for 24 hr. good thing as it was snowing at home anyway and a lot easer drive if you can switch off. good going typical spring stuff returning. I tried to get a picture of a sea Gull in the snow for Richard but with a 25mph wind and doing 75 up the road we never keep one in the view finder long enough to snap a pictures all we got was a wing far right upper in this shot. we did get this one for Russel a man learning you don't suddenly let off on the gas in slush. the ditch under the truck has about 2 ft of water in it he's lucky it got pushed threw it and he could step out

sea gull in snow

this is april. cant beleive yall still have all that snow and ice. i feel for everyone living where snow and slush is still hanging on. planted my garden in feb. and have to water every day. could not imagine driving every day in that stuff. never got a real likeness for snow when i lived in it. one night of freezing temps here and they close the roads. folks here dont know how to drive in icey conditions. oh well hope weather gets better for yall up north. gotta go mow the front yard now..
 
Glad you made it back home safely. The storm you drove out of was one of the three biggest we have had this winter. Easily 8 inch's in two days. It was the heart attack snow, wet, and heavy. I did not even think about pulling out the two stage snowblower or the single stage snow thrower, just knew it would plug up the machines. Did the clearing with just a shovel. Ouch!
 
Same here...

Did get to use the snowblower some, but did quite a bit of our driveway by hand...twice. As Mike pointed out, this stuff was heavy, wet, and miserable. We very much enjoyed the visit, supper, and looking forward to sampling Kim's birthday gift soon (THANKS!!), but for heaven's sake...next time stick around and have some fun digging out with us. We could've got one heck of a snowball fight going out in the back 40!

High of 40F here today. (whoop dee do) Highest its been for a long time. My 5 foot tall snowbanks beside my driveway are down to about 4 feet now.
 
don't mid snow at all but hate the meld down. the frost goes out and you sink just looking at it. the gulls are holing up here waiting for the water to clear off up there. gulls, Pelicans and Cranes along with tons of ducks and geese they stage here till they can move north. spring brings us a odd mix of Critters moving threw. makes the 411 miles across the state a interesting drive.
