Just returned from show/shine in support of MADD, mothers against drunk driving. Lots of interest in the 65 and talk from attendees of pre hospital care in the old days.
I was parked next to the MADD KIA. People were encouraged to sign the car with a pledge not to drink and drive. Represented by a wonderful woman whose 7 year old was killed back in 2004 by an impaired driver. It would have been her birthday yesterday. Driver received a sentence of nine months in a minimum security institution. She said it looked like a private spa. When will our society come to grips with the seriousness of this crime?!?

You are so right, Tim! I can't understand how in this day and age, that anyone could be so ignorant to drive under the influence, or on the phone, or texting while driving. But, perhaps they just simply do not think of anyone, but themselves.

Larry I use a tire cleaner, the name of which escapes me which contains bleach. Likely not good for the rubber, but it does not stay on long. Add a firm brush and a bit of elbow grease and they really come up.

Bill, I have previously posted that I have been a car nut for over 50 yr and in that time have been fortunate enough to obtain several cars that are special to me. WITHOUT A DOUBT, BAR NONE however, since I first sat in one in 1965 the top of the heap was a 65 Superior Pontiac Rescuer. Never ever in my wildest dreams did I think the opportunity would present itself. Evan appreciated this in our talks and was kind enough to make the near impossible happen.
