M&M Paramount

flower car?

All we have to do is ask why would the funeral home be transporting flowers to the funeral home...and other locations. Okay, maybe to the cemetery but I am pretty sure I have seen the flower shop trucks and vans bringing flowers to funeral homes.
Since the material covering the rear seat does not match the front seat I think we can safely say this has been modified at sometime. I think it is a straight hearse that could be taken back to the way M-M built it. Get the rear seat out of there. Building the divider could be a bit of a challenge for some.
More opinions needed here. We are listening.

Car in Question

Jim,

The car in question is a 1971 Miller-Meteor Cadillac CLASSIC Limousine (likely combination, but could be end loading hearse.) The back seat was put there by someone who altered the car after it was removed from service.

A Paramount is what you see in my avatar. Miller-Meteor made the Paramount (which was a unique design that combined a little bit of landau and limousine styling) from 1963-69. The Paramount then gave way to the Eterna, which was produced through the 1976 model year.

When I found my 41 Henney-Packard in the junk yard, it had an "Added" back seat too, so when cruising around, their buddies had a place to sit. Along with that , they chopped the windows out of the rear side doors so they could get some "Air" and make it look like a "Hardtop".

Almost ruined it completely !!!!!

It seems fairly obvious that the seller doesn't know hiss ass from a hole in the ground. It's a 1973, No, no, it is a 1971! It is is HEARST, no it is a hearse. It delivers flowers???? Oh man, this guy gives selling cars a bad name.

She's a combination...

...note the partition cabinets.

The Paramount Landau (or Paramount Ambulance) had a small window - "quarter window," if you will - just aft of the C pillar:

Hmmm, wherever this car came from it must have taken atleast 4 people to figure out how to deliver flowers, so they had to put in a back seat.:bonk:

just maybe

Look at the pattern of the cover on the rear seat in the ad. Then look at the seat pattern on the post by Steve Loftin. They are very similar. I wonder if the front seats that have been added to the ebay coach? Looks like the original seat may now be the back seat.
If I had the room I would still take this one.

When the seller typed the word "Fleetwood" in the ad,he admitted a certain propensity for confusing his fundament with second base.:wowguy:

Dont forget Collins (using the Miller-Meteor name) revived the Paramount name in the mid to late 80s, still retaining the small quarter window. I have a 91 M-M Lincoln Paramount that does not have the window. Not sure what year the Paramount name was discontinued for good.
