we picked up this bumper ravaged by the New York salt. I'm bound and determent to get it repaired and on my car. so the best way to handle all the high and lows pin holes and such was a little old fashion lead. finally got the stuff we need and went for it. we'll work it off tomorrow and see how we did.

they tell me lead can be plated. I know tine can be plated. body lead is a 70/30 blend of lead and tin. the solder wire you put electrical things togather with is a 90/10.

just you be care ;) ful what your call my lead there fella what a man plates is his
busnes.

yes that's the one. so far we have used a number of the small stuff we got from you. I got a bid of 1200 to repair and re-plate it last year. I kind of bulked on that. so we elected to do the repair work our selves. as the top of the 71-72 CBs rears are kid of hard to come by we want to get this one fixed. my wire feed with out gas makes something this large a mess to weld in, so we went this way. it good enough to prime out and paint now, don't know about plating it thought. I'll ask the next trip to the big city. that one was one rusty piece. by the time we got done sand blasting it was threw all across the face in a skip line.
