Looking for interior fabric

Does anyone have a line on this style and color interior fabric? I am looking for about 14 yards, 5 of which must be continuous. I have already contacted SMS in Canby, OR and Original Auto Interiors in Columbus, MI. Both have had this in inventory as recently as last year, but as luck would have it, either have none left, or only bits and pieces.

SMS refers to it as "hearse material", so apparently it was used by many procar manufacturers. Aside from it being in my '59 Comet Olds, I recall seeing it pictured in another hearse interior shot on this site, within the past month or two. I can't find the thread, but it was in an early '60's Cadillac (I think).

I'm not overly optimistic, as the guy at Original Auto Interiors pretty much said that they and SMS are the only game in town as far as NOS auto fabrics.

I'm sure they will! Their prices are already pretty steep for fabric they have in stock. Can't imagine what they would want if they had to reproduce something in a limited quantity.

SMS is mailing me a sample of a "similar" material. My gut feeling is that I will leave the existing interior alone before re-doing it in something that wasn't used in the industry in 1959. Like the over-used expression goes in the old car hobby..........."they are only original once."

Try Miami Rubber Company, www.miamicorp.com Terry. This is where I got my replacement headliner materal that was a very close match for the front of my 73 M-M combo.
