Looking for Beau Monde Photos

Does anyone have any photos of 1954 - 1956 Superior Beau Monde coaches? I have photos of my 56, the blue 56 from Ebay that went to Australia and the black 56 still in service in Colombia but that is it.

I would also like to get some good high resolution images or even prints of the Superior factory photos but am having no luck so far.

There are numerous interor and exterior photos of these unique "hardtop" professional cars in Tom McPherson's Superior book as well as prices. I'm sure that Tom has images he'd be willing to share if you contacted him directly.

Sorry, no images, but a related general question. Did the Beau Monde name carry over to models after 1956 that didn't have the original unique Beau Monde features? Over the years I've seen references to late '50's Superiors as "Beau Mondes", but I didn't know if it was just in name or a mis-labeling by the owners.

Adam,

Superior began referring to "Beau Monde Styling" starting in 1957. The hinged, fold up "B" pillar was only a feature on the 1954-1956 models. People still look funny at me when I tell them I have a "hardtop hearse."

The only pic I have of one, is of your car that you sent me a while back. But, I would almost be willing to bet Mr. Loftin may have a pic or 2 of one.

Josh
