No coachbuilder listed, 80's Cadillac limo, streched in an odd place. You have to sort of stumble around the wet bar to get to the seat? Logo with initials RF and a fox head, possibly one of Redd Foxx's cars?
That '70 limo is Beautiful! Love the landau bars and the continental "bump" on the trunk. I wonder what it will sell for? Although not as famous as Paycheck, I wonder what a limo originally owned by the owner of the Philadelphia Phillies would be worth? Probably not much....but it was worth a try. Great pics, thanks for posting them.
1959 "Cadirock" (like I said, you'll see stuff there you won't see anywhere else...)
I also spotted, but apparently neglected to photograph, a mid to late 80's gold Eureka "Hurst" (as the placard described it). Inside was a casket that opened up to display a smorgasbord of picnic condiments. Owner was apparently quite proud of it, as there were several pictures of it in various states of "open-ness".
There may have been more, but mild heat stroke got the better of me and I bailed. I did find out how to get to the auction down the road, but it was too hot to explore. In years past they have had a Broadmoor Skyview there, not sure if it was there this year. I believe it was Worldwide Auctions putting on that show.
*edit* no Broadmoor this year, but they do have an unrestored GM Futurliner!
Todd, the Redd Foxx limo is just your basic 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limo. It just has vinyl covering the opera window in back. That gaudy interior never ceases to amaze me, it's been at Auburn several times for sale. I looked through 36 pages of auction results and can't find what the tan 6 door Suburban sold for. Do you have any idea? I must have checked out that Suburban for 20 minutes, loved it!!
almost 8 for airport limo?? wow. those suburbans are a easy stretch they made them in the 3 and 4 doors configuration as air port limos and church buses. always on the 3/4 ton chassis some times on the one ton. the best one to look for would be a one ton 4x4. if you add the last row of seats offered they would be a 15 passenger bus
I, too, saw the black '70 limo, and with those draperies and stuff, was the most gawd awful thing I could imagine..... so gaudy! Did I spell that correctly? Tom
