Lifeliner back in business

I picked up the Lifeliner yesterday and man is it quiet. I had to replace the high pressure line on the power steering and exhaust gaskets, AGAIN!. I think my issue with exhaust leaks is I never go back and re-torgue the bolts after it has been driven.

We'll do it this time.

If you blow more exh gaskets, then the manifold probably is warped. Take the manifolds to a machine shop and have them decked flat.

repeat post, repeat post, repeat post. keep it going Russ he won't listen to the rest of us

re torquing a warped manifold does no good. but the man doing the replacement should pick up on the fact that it is burning out in the same spot every time. be sure to check the ports on the head. I have one on the olds they let go so long it ate a corner of the head off.

Russ and Ed: Good advice. We have manifolds checked even if it's just the 1st time a gasket is blown or leaking on our heavy equipment an trucks. It's not a high dollar extra cost.... as you already have the manifold off anyway. MM

I hear ya and know it needs to be done. Cleaned it up yesterday and took for a drive with the puppies, no not yours LeeAnn, and this car is awesome. After using Seafoam in the tank and half a can down the carb it runs like new. Even the A/C was running including the rear. I rotated the front tires and it is amazing what you find when you remove the hubcaps. All sorts of little critters dead in there.

Bill and I are attending the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise next week and need them shining. I've got Biketoberfest this week with the Hog.
